Access Capital Partners announces Strategic Partnership with Bankinter Investment and Governance Evolution
Paris, 27 March 2026 – Access Capital Partners, a leading European private assets manager, and Bankinter Investment, the alternative asset management and investment platform of Bankinter Group, today announced the signing of a strategic partnership aimed at expanding access to private market investment solutions for institutional and private investors. This partnership reinforces a relationship started in 2019 which saw Bankinter Investment becoming a major partner and client of Access Capital Partners, contributing more than €700 million to the firm’s assets under management.
This partnership is announced against a backdrop of heightened geopolitical uncertainty and evolving conditions across private markets. In this context, Access Capital Partners continues to promote investment strategies focused on attractive risk adjusted returns and resilience to cycles, notably through low‑volatility infrastructure investments and access to European small cap private equity characterized by conservative leverage.
As part of this strategic partnership, and in connection with the evolution of Access Capital Partners’ shareholding structure, Alantra who became a shareholder in 2019, has agreed to sell its entire stake in Access Capital Partners to Bankinter Investment, alongside Dominique Peninon, a co-Founder of the firm, who will also sell his remaining shareholding. These transactions mark an important milestone in the continued development of Access Capital Partners.
In parallel, Access Capital Partners announced a governance transition designed to support the next phase of its growth. Agnès Nahum and Philippe Poggioli, both Founding Partners will be appointed Co‑Executive Chairwoman and Executive Chairman of the Board, reinforcing continuity of leadership and long‑term strategic alignment. They will continue to jointly hold a majority of the voting rights, ensuring the firm’s operational independence.
Furthermore, four existing Partners, Pierre Abrial, Alexandre Delos, Manish Pandey and Aymeric Paul with longstanding tenure within the firm, will be promoted to Managing Partners, effective 1 January 2027, reflecting Access Capital Partners’ commitment to internal succession planning, partnership culture and talent development. In addition to the Founding Partners, 13 Partners are also shareholders of the firm.
Access Capital Partners and Bankinter Investment will combine their respective expertise in private assets management and investment distribution to develop and offer tailored solutions addressing the growing demand for exposure to European private markets.
The collaboration reflects a shared ambition to deliver robust, long‑term investment solutions adapted to an environment where risk management and asset selection are increasingly critical. Bankinter Investment expects to support Access Capital Partners through direct fund commitments or indirectly through funds under management or the distribution of products to clients.
