In this segment Access seeks to invest with best in class teams managing small to mid-sized growth buy-out funds including sector focused funds in Europe, with size ranging from €100m to €1bn. Since 1999, Access’ fund selection has favored value creation predominantly through top-line growth and operational improvement rather than over-reliance on financial engineering.
- European turnaround and special situations funds
In this segment Access seeks to take advantage of the particular skill sets gathered by a small number of European teams in business and financial restructuring of distresses companies.
- Secondary transactions
In order to accelerate cash and enhance vintage diversification, Access also invests in mature small to mid-market Buy-out & Special Situations funds on a secondary basis. The strategy consists in acquiring partnership interests from original investors seeking liquidity.
